Looking for dash trim bezels in decent shape (preferably original) that are correct for a 1968 Coronet R/T. Think the big difference is that these are for a non-Rallye/ Standard gauge dash so the black ribbing is smoothed by a clear plastic covering on the outside (i.e. not looking for the...
Well, I found a Sending Unit that has 3/8" Outlet and 1/4" Return. Came from Doctor Diff yesterday. Will try it out, but keep one eye out here for any OE/ NOS out there (preferably getting that vs. a reproduction).
Thanks to everyone here for their posts and insights - have read all, including looking at the helpful pics. So, it turns out my '68 Coronet R/T does in fact have a 1/4" Return Line on it. But, no Fuel Vapor Separator (presumably someone took off the Separator for some reason in the past). The...
Thanks all for your feedback on this. Super confusing to me. But, it seems everyone agrees I should have 5/16" Lines, but my car has 3/8". Maybe it was previously modified? Anyway, despite FSM calling for a Carter MS-4434S Fuel Pump (5/16"), I went with Carter M-4845 from Summit - 3/8" Outlet...
My R/T doesn't have a Fuel Vapor Separator on it. Weird if it taken off, as no Return Line either. Wonder if it's necessary. Hope my re-cored radiator and shroud make it uneeded.
Do '68 Coronet R/T (4BBL 440 HP) necessarily come with the Fuel Vapor Separator? Mine doesn't have one, unless it was taken off for some reason...which would be weird, as there's no Return Line etc.
I'm beginning to believe that...others say this, the correct pumps are 5/16", Mopar Parts Catalog suggests 5/16" etc. Thing is, my R/T has 3/8" installed already.
Well, losing my mind on this one. Lol. Have a cheap electric fuel pump that came with my ‘68 Coronet R/T. Want to buy a mechanical to go back to original. Can’t find a correct one to buy - anyone know where to look? FSM calls for Carter MS-4434S, but the 4434 at Summit et al. have a 5/16” Inlet...
Some help please guys - how does this PCV Valve come off? It’s a stock Valve Cover and PCV Valve, may have been attached for a long time. Have put some lube etc. around the Grommet and put all my muscle into pulling it off, but not even budging. Baffle on underside makes working it from other...
Thank you all for sharing feedback on Doctor Diff's 8 3/4" Helical Gear Sure-Grip ("Sure-Trac II").
I ordered the Sure-Trac II from the Doctor for my '68 Coronet R/T (747 trans, 742 case, 3.23 ratio now, originally no Sure-Grip) and will report back on installing & running it.
Doctor Diff...
