Nice original RR at the Festival Flea Market Car Show couple of weeks ago. Sign says that car only has a bit over 7200 miles. Not a bad way to spend a holiday at FL.

73/74 fresh air through the power bulge... Anyone out there ever try it?

Those are neat ones. Somebody should put MAF or something inside these scoops and check which way air moves in them and how much. :thinker:...

73/74 fresh air through the power bulge... Anyone out there ever try it?

Those are just openings to engine bay. Made to "bolt on" into original holes. It would take too much cutting, welding and fabrication to make anything else of them. I did not want to ruin a decent hood either. Anyways these nostrils were on my "must have" list.:headbang:

Custom nostrils on my SSP's hood. The original straight part (trim) is now curvy and opening is at the back where it suppose to. :icon_porc: At least it does look a little different but not much. (Credit to whoever took this photo) Fab pic to illustrate the idea.

    1974 RoadRunner

OT 73' hoods have the bbq grills on top of it, 74' hoods do not have them. I am not sure tough if they used those hoods in 74´s too.

Here is mine -74 RR-clone with 440+727. Drove it first time last autumn after partial restoration. Still needs some work inside and outside.
