I had a set that split and cracked down in the tread.:angry1: they were pretty worn out, maybe 5000 miles on them, and 6 years old, but they should'nt do that.
I bought my Belvedere in April of '86 for $1550, a couple hours from my parents house in Scony to central Minn. 383 4bbl,727 colunm shift bench seat,2.94 geared sure-grip.
My last time out ... waited until noon to get time runs, but they still got all the racing in. I think it made it to 40 degrees that day! That was Oct. 24, can't wait for April 18 to go get some more! Parked next to my buds Torino.
I'm surprised no one mentioned a "4 inch stroker for your 360. The added torque would help get that charger of the line. It would still be lighter weight with the small block, be 50 or so cubes bigger, and everything still bolts in with what you have. Start with a solid short block add on to it...

Here's pics of a few others i'm partial to.The green and white Satelite has to be one of the most beutiful mopars i've ever seen on atrack, was also in Mopar Muscle Mag last year.
There is'nt a big differnce in 3.91's to 4.10's on the street, maybe a hundred RPM's or so @ 60 mph. But in the 1/4 mile, you don't want to be taching out on the the top end, slowing your mph. I went with 4.10's in my street car with no regrets. Depends on your RPM range. Good luck and happy racing!
Hey mopar associates, Thought I'd start out on the right foot (the heavy one) for a change. Here's pics of my ride for the last 23 years. It's 440 powerd and has run a best of 12.29 just this last summer. The old heap is my pride and joy we will most likely never part ways.
