Hi all - I want to verify that the tach in my 68 Super Bee is accurate. Currently shows 3000 RPM at 60 MPH. I have an A833, 3.23 rear with 225/70R14 tires. Calculators show I should be turning more in the 2500 RPM range.

From what I’ve read, the casting numbers typically start with a “9”. Mine looks like “88128”. I can’t seem to find a reference to that number. Casting date looks like 2/3/69.

I want to replace the oil pan gasket on my ‘68 383 Super Bee. Is there enough room to lower the pan, remove the old gasket and install a new one without having to drop the steering linkage?

Quick question…the post threads on my Ramcharger base (1/4”x20) are stripped at the very top. I can start a 1/4”x20 nut, but it will only go half a turn or so. I’d like to use a couple of 1/4”x20 shoulder nuts, but of course they won’t thread all the way on.

i bought and installed valve cover studs and new gaskets. The issue is the two inside nuts don’t have enough room to get a wrench or socket on to tighten them. Any else...
