I may have asked this before I don't remember, if so please forgive. My question is I see a lot of guys on this site who set their initial timing on their 440s way more advanced then the manual calls for. I'm wondering what to set mine at. Thanks mild build, pure Street car.
Looking to buy an msd adjustable timing control to squeeze for mileage. Live in Florida but travel to about 10 to 12 thousand feet for extended periods. When in the mountains do I need to advance or retard timing or just do a primary jet change?
My battery trips off my battery charger. Voltage reads 12.1 from sitting. Checked for current draw got nothing. Resistance across the battery unhooked is open. When I hook up the charger the positive lead gets hot. With positive lead hooked up I get a lot of spark hooking up the negative lead...
I have a RF interference capacitor on my MSD ignition normally when I hook up the negative post at the battery I get a small spark as that capacitor discharges. Now when I go to hook up the negative I'm getting a lot of spark as if something is wrong but I show no ground at the positive side...
