1977 Chrysler Cordoba

After starting my A/C conversion 1 year ago I am finally done! So far so good! Here are some pics of my install-

Out with the old rubber trash--in with the polyurethane bushings!

So I had been putting off replacing my door strikers for a while-I knew they were worn out but sometimes little things don't seem that important until you cannot take that rattle noise anymore!
Anyways I ordered up some new aftermarket MoPar style strikers and to my surprise (as seen in second photo) were way to big-- after researching it seemed the GM style striker was the closest to what was on our Cordoba.
Sure as **** I ordered a pair of GM strikers and they fit perfectly!

So to rebuild the unit I used fine mesh stainless steel instead of the original foam like material. 3lbs. of activated charcoal pellets filled the canister perfectly. Sealed the bottom back with epoxy and silicone sealer with a new fiberglass filter.

I wanted to run a charcoal canister so I decided to rebuild one I picked up off ebay. I cut it apart by drilling holes in the bottom and using a jigsaw.

After my old MC failed on my drive home from work I decided to replace with an aluminum MC from Force 10. -3 more pounds

Cam plate mod to achieve 21* initial, 38* total mechanical all in by 2000 RPM. Total mechanical + vacuum advance = 56* @ 15 inHg vacuum

So my goal was to add some beauty and remove some wieght from the 'Doba-- so far here are the results.

Edelbrock aluminum intake -24 ibs.
440 Source aluminum water pump housing -10 lbs.
XS Power lithium battery -30 lbs.
Sanden A/C compressor -20 lbs.
