What a beautiful car! Nice job...
Working the problem of border line vacuum for the dual diaphragm booster. My cam shaft is a 110 LSA Bullett, [email protected], 576 lift w/ 1.6 ratio. and at idle I'm pulling just a tick over 17" with the car in park and no load on the engine. As soon as I drop it in gear the vacuum drops to 15.7". So following kern dogs plight with hydro boost I thought I'd try a less technical approach. What I've done is relocated the vacuum port from under the throttle blades and moved it 3/4 of the way down #7 runner like the OEM locations. Then I added a vacuum reservoir to see if I could find a better brake feel. So far it seems to work however I haven't taken the car out for a real-world test but this is showing promise and only kicked the crap outta 50 bucks. Anyone tried this before?
Finally getting the chance to assemble the rear gear
Been quite a while since this was in the car.
Getting around to cutting and buffing before I start hanging the rest of the sheet metal. Happy with the way the garage paint job turned out and didn't cost me 50-60 grand
Finally have the dash wiring finished, the dash bolted up and the 440 fired up with the EFI system. Another milestone
FYI Bob (440plus6) here's where I wound up mounting mine. Trying to keep things easy to get to..
440 took its first breath in a decade..
Fired right up with no drama
I have videos but can't post
Getting ready to fire up the 440 for the first time, check for oil leaks and hopefully break in the cam without any drama...
Finally dropped my nuts and installed the vinyl top over the weekend. First time installing one, it wasn't too bad with some help and a few beers
