looking in to a 0.60 over bore and stroke to my 68 440. any forseeable problems with that large of a bore? any input would be great.
With a good cooling system in place no forseeable problems.
u talking electric fan for revamping cooling system?
also my situation is the block i have now was bored 0.30 over except one cylinder that was scored, so they went 0.60 over on that one cylinder. what type of problems would i see if i left it like that?
Thanks guys those were the best questions and answers I read here. You see I have the same kind 68 440 4bbl Magnum engine and I was thinking to do the same as 72satteldog. Except I was only boring out to .030 and decking the block and running some flat pistons. Scary for me to go 60 over and risk destroying my block. Thanks for those answers, something to know.
Remember, once you bore it to .060,if you have a problem later you're done unless you sleeve.
You've seen my buddy's Plymouth! You now what! I think I'll have that 68 440 Magnum of mine bored out to .060 over and full stroke it with modern day fuel injection and twin intercooled Turbos on each side of course.
