Just found out my car is 1 of 49! It's a 1968 coronet 440 383 2bbl auto, WW1 monotone white w/ green int. Now do I restore it or sell it? I was wanting to do a resto mod. but not on this rare of a car.

Well, it might be rare as far as numbers go, but is it a desirable rarity? Do what you want to it and keep anything you take off. Gerry

Sounds like a nice combo, I'd say a faithful resto is in order for that one and if your set on wanting to do a resto mod, maybe you could find another specimen.

What makes it one of 49? Lots of 383 2bbl Coronets around. Need more imfo and pics.

Well it looks like most of the 68 coronet 440's had a /6. Some had a 383 4bbl,(around 900) and only 49 383 2bbl autos. this is what the code books are saying.

He did not indicate it here, but he is referring to a 440 COUPE. He posted the same thing on another site.
