1000+ horsepower rear for a b body

I am strong considering back halfing the car and running a beefed up SRT8 rear sub-frame and suspension. Any other clue?

well here is what i did after asking some people in the know. i wasn't quite a 1000hp but close. i had moser build me a 9" that bolted to gm product. i know it sounds like blasphamy but they tell me i won't have to ever worry about it.
now on a good note, i also had them build a 60 for my hemi coronet. the price was right around 4 grand each. just putting it out there.

Did we ever hear what this car is going to be used for? Maybe I missed it. It's pretty basic, really. Street/strip: work on it yourself, a 9". Drag only: a 9" with a spool. Street/ strip: have somebody else work on it, a Dana 60. Roadrace, IRS probably best if on an unlimited budget. All this is ,of course, based on the 1,000 HP figure given by the owner.

It is going to be a drag/road race/street car. Gen3 hemi with turbo's will be the end result. I am putting together a 6.1 hemi right now to shake down the car. I really dont care what I spend, I have spent 20 years looking for the car and it will be my sons one day and hopefully his sons one day

I figure I will spend 3k to get the back half done right to accommodate the IRS. Then it will cost another 5k for an unbreakable IRS. So 8-10k with coil overs and over goodies. Twice as much as a moser, but really the best of all worlds at that point.

Well, there you go.........answered your own question. Make sure and take lots of pictures. This will be way cool..............
