1000 Hp Mopar crate engine

The PCM comes unlocked from Mopar and tuned for the 1,000 horsepower figure.
So to me, it sounds like a different tune may extract more horsepower, although there may be hardware changes required (my guess) to achieve that.

Specs I've come across show the 1,000 HP figure is on 93 octane. Imagine the potential if it used the race gas the demon is supposed to run on.

That was my thought too, once I read about the "factory tune"...what octane fuel was that.
With that much electronic tech, I would think some race blends would make a significant improvement.
