just thinking of when i do my twin turbo hemi what box will hold the power?
i want a manual is there any that will hold upto that much power?
and still be street friendly

I'm pretty sure you need to be looking at the torque rating of the box. HP is a function of torque and is basically the time variable. Higher HP means the work gets done faster. Torque is the muscle and what breaks parts. Off the top of my head you will be looking at a dual cluster gear Jerico but I don't think they make 5 speeds.

The transmission of choice for BMW or Toyota guys with 1000+ hp engines is generally the Getrag V-160. It's a six speed.

The Lenco will get it done. The problem with a manual behind this combo is the clutch. If all your doing is street driving and burnouts, anything will work for a clutch or trans. The minute you put sticky tires on and hit the track, it's a whole nother ball game. Good luck...

Benny, you're not just teasing us with this turbo HEMI, 1200hp tranny, are ya?

deadly serious, will be a 5 year project, but I plan on stripping the charger down in 5 or so years and redoing some metal work, custom chassis, 335 tires, 295 fronts, smoothed and worked engine bay, custom interior, etc. etc. with a twin turbo hemi, possible lenco gearbox, dan rear end, I already have installed and I might keep my 4 link and coil overs, and custom k member, but will go bigger brakes.

plan is a ultimate show car/ track racer that will munch up lambo's and Ferrari's but also be able to stomp on some phord and chebbie down the quarter.

I will drive the car around for now while I am still in this small mining town and then when I move back to the coast in a year or so, I will start the work on it, as there is more resources down there.

just trying to get as much info from now on out, so I do it properly this time and don't waste money on things that are not needed, and I hate doing rework.
