15" Torq Thrust Wheels

Pomona - I like those s200 a lot also. I should have bought some when they were reasonably priced as they are special order only now (15x8s) at $350+ a pop. You have quite the collection...

yes i was buying them when costs were a lot lower . the pair in the pics are magnesium 200s's . kind a rare . but the trans am's are even more rare . both were late issue rims before american's magnesium pour foundry burned down .

Pomona missile, you would know. Were the daisies available with the faces of the spokes polished from the factory, or is that strictly performed after the purchase. I have two 15x7 and four 15x8, all with polished faces on the spokes.

there was a optional polish on the 200s's that included the spoke face on the alum alloy ones . the cp200 (steel version) it was done as well . but those are chromed steel two part rims . the 200s came out in 68 and replace the aging america standard alum alloy and magnesium rim design . american called the 200s ''the money maker '' in a letter from the factory and its dealerships . well it was designed for disc brakes fitment even corvette's and the shelby's . which could only get a d' spoke torq thrust to fit over those calipers . i have some early catalogs from american racing equipment and some inner factory/dealership communications paper work . did you know that they made stereo equipment and rear wings as well . there in my 71 issue cat .

Sonny would like some "bling" but these dog dish are a hard give up.....

These aren't AR TT's but are a pair of 15x8 vintage ET mags, straight spoke, unilug I picked up. They need some restoration work, but I've always liked the style:

et's polish real pretty , it the matl use in the castings , just not to strong . and special lugs n washer have to be used with them , i sure those can still be had . and sonny black , you can stack them in the corner of the garage or basement is best . and run americans on it . it would be like having two beautiful 63's . my other 63 will have vintage americans on it as well . maybe just 8 1/2's on the rear . the sportfury has 15x10's on it .

Sonny - the reality is you need both. :) The dog dish look is killer/sleeper, but a proper set of period looking TT's would look AWESOME on your '63. Haven't you posted pictures of your car with them on before?

oh ya grabber orange69 , i have a pair of 14x7 1/2 et's to match those 15x8 1/2's you have there . for the full old school, look .

Pomona: Thanks for the offer, but not ready to pull that trigger at the moment. When I do, I'll be looking for 15s. I'll keep you in mind.

I'm with you Sonny, I'm torn between leaving the Americans or going body color steelies with dog dish. I have the steelies for a while now, looking for tires that will look right.

When looking at the new ET (Team III) five spokes...check out the Vintage V's as well. They make a 15 x 4" with rounded spokes. I picked up a pair and painted the centers a darker "cast blast". They are nice quality, but they are heavy. Team III has an odd purchasing deal. You have to mail or fax a hand-written form. Bought a couple pairs from them. They get them out pretty quickly.

Sonny needs to pop off the dig dishes on the back, and swap some torq thrusts onto the front. Kick it old school, and give your hounds something to eat out of

This is a bare 15 X 3.5 AR Torque Thrust VN105D. 16.5 lbs each, for those may be wondering.
