HI All,
Anybody running this tire and rim setup, 245 60 15 square on 15x7 on a 67 GTX? Pics, any fitment issues?

Thanks,

Since you have an auto the Dana must have been added at some time. You might want to check its year as I believe the 68/69/70 Dana’s are a little wider than 66/67 models. I have a later 8-3/4 under my 67 and with 7” magnums it’s a bit of a struggle to get the rears on and off with 215/75-15 tires. Any wider tire and I would have to unbolt the shackles.

245/70/15 on 15x7” Magnums with 3.75” backspace. Never a problem.

Mine does have a Dana. And it is from a 1966.

That said

Getting the tire out from under the car requires I lift it from the one side.

Or

If I pick it straight up from the center diff with both wheels off the ground.
I can not get a tire out unless I set the chassis on jackstands and let the rear axle drop down

Hey, it is a 66/67 dana according to the date code. Thanks for the info!

Just an fyi,

In my post above. the 2 pics on the top are recent versus the 2 lower and the car has had suspension work to lower the rear of the car slightly. If that matters

That size looks perfect on almost any car. Except I always like a little more tire under the rear.

Dana and automatic, not and option until 1969.
I stand corrected. Never owned a 67, but mistakenly assumed a guy could have always ordered a Dana in any 440 car.
