The green 1970 Hemi Charger R/T 4 speed car only brought 105k,that was a bargain.

Is this green one the one that is thought to be a rebody ? or am I thinking of another green 1970 Hemi Charger

10% added from the buyer and seller $180K X 20% = $36,000 for Mecum
Yes, I think an Auction like B-J and Mecum is stupid. Just sell it yourself and pocket all the cash. I think these Auctions have priced these cars into the stratosphere that the average Joe can no longer afford to bid or even buy these cars. It's taking away from what this Hobby truly was. Preserving, restoring or enjoying classic cars. Now it is just flip city.

To me, there's a BIG difference, and not only $$$, from a Hemi/6-bbl car, to a plain-jane 318 car. We can always debate/agree/disagree on the values of the "high-end" models. The problem is when that mentality drips down to someone with that plain-jane rot-bucket clapmobile that thinks because it has a "charger" nameplate on a rolling pile of garbage, that you must genuflect with a suitcase full of money if you want to buy it.

Green is the color of money and we all like that...
