$180K for 1970 Charger

I love my triple-green '70 for a couple reasons.

First, it's ORIGINAL. As such, it SO represents the time in which it was built. I love that.

Second, it's a damn-near clone of a '70 500 that my mother bought brand new (hers was F8 dark green, mine's F4 light green, but other than that and the fact that mine has dual chrome sport mirrors...they're identical). My cousin wrecked mom's around '76. I WANTED that car, and I finally found this one. So...it's emotional as well.

disclaimer;
Not directed at anyone specific...

There's an old saying;
"Opinions (for color or 'whatthefuckever') are just like ********,
everyone has one"...

Maybe why they (paint suppliers/auto builders) made more than 1

I love it when people argue taste, (color or whatthefuckever)
then they try to convince you, that you're wrong...

Unless it was a Ford model T, any color you wanted
"as long as it was black"
Henry Ford was more of a cheap ****, refused changes/stubborn as hell
not wanting to stop the line "for a color change" back then

I like the metallics/poly, best, but green is not for everyone...

"Allegedly psychologists say"
(my dear departed Great Aunt Anita, UCB Psychology Dept. Head, from 1947-1977 said it)
"people that choose greens (in some sort of testing)
are tending to be more Intelligent & Independent thinkers"

:lol:

I've owned a pile of new cars in my life, only three green cars and to be honest they were chosen for just getting around. Grand Prix, Jeep Cherokee and a Dodger intrepid. It's not my favorite color either. I'm a white or silver kind of guy, besides, they're the easiest to sell.

Yup, green’s alright

Also, at Mecum this weekend, a '70 Charger sold for 88K. It was totally stock with original 383 and A727. For you green haters, this one was Plum Crazy w/ white vinyl. White interior, no a/c. Lot F232 if you want to look it up. I was unable to copy any pics to show.

I spent my formative years in the back of a 70 Charger R/T SE that was triple green,as cool as that was,not every experience was wonderful,so as far as triple green goes,I been there and done that. My 70 V code Charger was originally white with an F8 green interior and green sides stripes,it's probably the only V code car built like it,but the previous owner changed out the interior to burnt orange,and i'm glad he did!
