a904 trans mount

well, first let me tell you what i have. it's a '63 ply Belvedere slant 6 car. i absolutely hate 6 cylinder motors, any kind too. i am installing a '69 Baracuda 318 and trans in it.
now for the problem and yes i searched all the pages and no joy. the trans mounts are different from the 6 and later A904. the mounting plate is wider on the 6 cylinder A904 trans. also, were it goes into the frame mount it has 2 studs, the later mount only has 1 stud.
these differences are not really important because the later mount does go into the frame mount on the car. i will just use one of the holes. my real confusion is, which way does the later mount go on the trans? the mounting plate has an angle to it. one way it will move the trans forward and if you turn it around it will move the trans backwards. i am assuming the angle has more to do with the positioning and angle of the motor.
this is mostly my fault as i didn't pay attention when i took them off. any help would be appreciated.
