Hello everyone, I have a question about my 1962 Plymouth Belvedere. I have a serious leak at the seal where the kickdown rod attaches to the transmission.
I need to know if I can replace this seal without the use of special tools. I was told by a professional transmission mechanic that there is a special tool specifically for this job. He is a good friend that I trust. However, is too busy to help me. I am an experienced mechanic needing advice. I just don't want to dive into something that will leave the car immobile. I have reasonable room between it and the floor pan.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
