1963 330 barn find

So an update on the car. It has been awhile since I have I been on. The guy that owns the car did not want me giving anyone his number. He said if someone stopped by, and ask, he would sell it but was not wanting calls or a bunch of people stopping by.

It has been almost 2 years since I first heard about this car til now, and I will admit, I put it in the back of my mind since he did not want assistance in selling it.

However, I saw him at an auction on Saturday, and he told me he is trying to clean up, and told me I could have the car for ........ well lets just say it is WAY more affordable to me now then what I was originally quoted. It looks like I will be bring this car home. Either:
A.) it will be for sale as is,
B.) I may drop an engine it and sell as a runner..
or the most likely
C.) I think I will be pulling the rear end, and the 4-speed stuff out of my '64 Polara and will be selling the '64.

It all depends on when I get it home and get it on the lift and see exactly what kind of shape it is in

I remember this car! Glad to see you're still on it. Keep us posted and if you do decide to sell it list it here first. Please, hint-hint.

So I am going to start doing some research.. but does anyone know if my 4-speed stuff will go into a '63? pedals, and the '64 833, as well as the center hump? I was going to measure the rearend but I was pretty sure that will go (out of a '68) as well as my power brake booster set-up.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I went out and looked at the car last night... bottom of the front fenders are rusted, but frame rails, firewall/cowl area, trunk pan, rear quarters, floor boards are all really solid. All the glass is in near pefect shape, windows roll up and down freely, door panels are in REALLY good shape. Front seat is torn and carpet is shot, but other then that interior is in good shape.

EDIT: just found out the tunnel is the same.. don't see why the transmission wouldn't fit??

63-65 B-body will interchange for the most part!

what steve said^

#1 Field find - not in a barn.
#2 No such thing as a wide block. It's those Poly heads that make them wide.

Why not keep your '64 - almost the same car, no?

This anywhere close to Cheney where my '62 Dart came from? Good area to bring home a project from..........

I would keep the push button 727 and drop back in a 318 Poly.......

New 4bbl manifold for the Poly:

"barn find" and "wide block" are both just phrases that are widely acknowledged..

'64 & '63 are both similiar in drive train, but body wise.. totally different car. and the '63 is in way better shape, body and interior wise

I have no idea where your Dart came from so I would not know if it were anywhere close to where this '63 is....

as for keeping a push button 727 and putting in a poly.. well 4-speeds are a lot more fun to drive.. and I already have a built 360.. and it was WAAYY cheaper to build then a poly motor.

I have a 64 fury 4 door with a poly and a push button. Found a cast 4bbl manifold for it and will be leaving that one alone..

here are some better pics of the car. There is some rust in the front fenders.. Won't be to hard to replace...

and you can see the dent in the door.. Was told that happened when it was brought out of the barn it was being stored in...

I'd check the firewall and cowl. If those are bad, expect some more rust...lots...

The car would have been better off in the barn. It won't last long sitting outside on the ground.

Great! Another one saved! Good luck with the new project!
