Awesome to hear this.I bought the tan 63 4 door Max Wedge car out of a junk yard in Soperton GA in 1988 for $400. I later sold it to Chip Gerst in Paulsboro NJ for an astounding $1400. At the time I thought I had hit the lottery making $1000 profit on a non running car. I found out later that I really messed up. I was able to get the original engine a few months after I sold the car so I called Chip back and he wouldn't tell me who he sold the car to. I looked in Hemmings for anyone interested in the engine so I called a guy in Miami FL and explained to him what I had. He said that sounds like the car the Stephen Pandolf is restoring. He gave me Stephen's number and I was able to sell him the engine (short block). Stephen sent me the magazine and photos of the car after he restored it. I've often wondered where the car wound up at. I've searched the internet and have never been able to find out anything about the car or it's whereabouts. I found the receipt that I sent to Chip when I sold him the car.
I did buy the car from Chip. (he was a bitch to deal with).
It was advertised in Hemmings.
Who gave you my # please?
I did know a lot of Mopar guys over the years.
I do remember a woman calling me and saying she has the original engine from Ishy's car.
I sold it at Hershey around 1996. He did not want the original engine, so I sold it at Carlisle that year.
It Went to a guy in New York, only saw it one more time a year or so later again at Hershey and not in the perfect shape I sold it. It's probably wasting away in some far off garage or warehouse.
Thank You
Stephen
