Does anyone know if the 63 Polara should have splash shields in the engine compartment on the lower inner fenders where the front brake lines go through to the front wheel cylinders? My car just has a large open hole on each inner fender wall. If they should be closed what are the shields called and where can I get them?

yea my '63 had the same problem. i just made them from sheet stock. cut/trim to size/ bend the tang on one end and drill a hole.

They are rubber. I made replacements patterned after an original.

Check with www.mrmoparts.net Part # 150902,150903,150932 and maybe 150906. $13 to $14 per pair.Oh, don't forget the clips if yours are gone.

Sorry to say that I screwed up and gave part numbers for 63 PLYMOUTH instead of 63 DODGE.Mrmoparts has the Dodge stuff too.Again OOOPS....

Thanks everyone for your input. I discovered that the early 63 Polara had sheet metal covers as mine did at one time. Sheet metal covers are not available so I bought the rubber covers for later built 63 Polaras and decided to drill a few holes and use them. It looks pretty original. Not concourse correct but still original for a 63 Polara.

Anyone have pics of these installed? The metal ones for a 62?
