1963 vs 1964 Plymouth fury detailed comparisons

I have purchased a Chilton's 1964 repair manual for a $5 at a swap show. My question is, it's pretty detailed and I was wondering if the structural aspects of the car and parts used on the 63 and 64 Fury's are pretty much the same across the board. I understand that there were body style changes between the two years but as far as things like the brakes , electrical system, suspension ,engine components and parts in general are they all pretty much interchangeable? New to the site, Thanks to whoever responds to my question.

I'd guess (somewhat educated) electrical & most of the mechanicals, suspensions, rear axles
are *pretty interchangeable (*to an extent, don't quote me)
throughout even both Dodge & Plymouths, Fury's like B-body Belvedere's, Satellite's, Savoy's
& 330 or Polara's (others) etc.

^^^^ pretty much sums it up. Although I will add that the 64 polara has a 119"(!) Wheel base.
( a stocker racer pointed that out to me when we were talking about plymouths)

Welcome from Alabama, I'm not much help on 63-65's, but I'm sure there are mechanical and electrical similarities between those years. Anything specific can be found online through this forum as most manuals are here.

There were changes in the cowling area noticeable by how different the dashes are. I had thought due to this, the hoods weren't interchangeable; but a guru on these cars I know said they are. I do think there are some differences with the doors or front door posts, not being swap-able. I'm sure others know more, but if you need more info I can find out.

Welcome from the central coast of Cal. Do yourself a favor, latch onto a factory service manual. They can be had as a reprint. Chilton, Clymer, Haynes and some others are too vague with the info. FSM is the only way to go. Especially if you want the correct info.

Dash and dash wiring are different, pretty much everything else is the same.

Mechanically, the '63's and '64's are basically the same. The electrical bulkhead connector changed between the two years. The 1964 rearend was widened about 2 1/2" in 1964. Chrysler's own A833 4-speed replaced the BW. T-10 that was optional in 1963. The newly available 1964 console shift for the TorqueFlite necessitated some valve body and other changes within the automatic transmission. Internal fluid filter for 1964, versus external, inline 1963 filter. Engines, brakes, steering and suspension remained the same.
