For those of you that are wondering what a CSS is, Custom Sport Special, was available from 64-66 or 67 if memory serves correct. You could get it with a /6, poly 318 or the bad boy 426 wedge. Mine came with a poly 318 and push button 727.....which where long gone by the time I got it. It did have a LA318 and 727, but now has a 383/727 combo which both have been rebuilt.

I got the engine and trans from a member here on FBBO, then found another 383 (rebuilt) and mated the rebuilt engine to the rebuilt trans, so I have the other 383 that goes with it. I got some Dougs headers from DagoMike, and they fit in the truck and then built from the collectors back, all stainless exhaust from Flowmaster and has fake Magnaflow mufflers. It does sound mean when you get on it, but not droney (sp).

The radiator has been recored, 3 core, but is for a small block, so I used some stainless tubing to connect the bottom hoses together. I also have a newish 725 Road Demon carb that will go with the truck.

New lenses front and rear, converted to a dual circuit mc, new lines, new shoes all around. Prior owner installed Auto Meter gauges, but I had to replace the volt meter cause it took it dump with another Auto Meter gauge. Has a new 78 amp alt. and electronic voltage regulator that looks like the factory mechanical style.

Tires are good, rims are Centerline that need to be polished. I did the center caps and they turned out great, but have not done the rims themselves.

It has FACTORY bucket seat, console, frame reinforcement and a Dana 60...have a clutch style sure grip with new clutches and shim kit that goes with the truck. I have the correct front sump pan, will need to get a pick up for it as the 187 pan is way too close the axle beam, so driving it...well watch out for bumps.

There are some rust spots, as any truck of this era has, but overall a solid truck. I'm asking 8500 obo, my zip code is 93230. If ya want to check it out, or have someone look it over, that is no problem. I will post pics in the morning and for those that are serious, I will send pics of the Cert Plate that denotes it is a CSS and lists all the goodies.

Thanks Ski, but as you can see it needs some body work/paint. I want to get my grandpa's 99' 2500 dodge diesel 4x4 club cab as it will haul the entire family, and the 64' is bucket seats.

That's a great truck, Hate to see you get rid of it.

That's a pretty cool looking truck 5.7 Hemi . . . and now I also know what a CSS is too. Thanks for sharing ! !

Not that I want to, but 5 vehicles is just too many for my wife and I and the 2 hoodlums, lol!

That sure is a sweet ride! Hard to find them in that nice shape here in MN.
GLWS

It's a long bed, and the prior owner had it Rhino lined or LineXed.

Sweet Trunk Zack/Hemi 5.7. I am interested if it is still available? You are where? Visalia? How is its road manners as I am up in Vacaville CA, and of course would have to use 99 if I were to purchase it? Are you flexible on that 2nd 383 and the Demon Carb. The 383 I do not need as I have one myself and a 440 block awaiting machine shop work, and I don't need the Demon carb. If it is all going as a package then I understand....cr8crshr/Tuck

Sent cr8crshr a pm.

Well it looks like I'm going to be putting 4 new tires on the truck. The left front blew out on me today, good thing I was close to home. No damage to the rim or body panels...I'm grateful for that. Also I wouldn't feel right just getting 1 tire and letting the other 3 stay on there as to me they are now in questionable condition.

Polished the rims...

Here's what the rims looked like before I polished them today. I thought since I got to get 4 new tires, might as well polish the rims and the reason for 4 new tires. The last pic is what they looked before I went and got "MID EVIL" on them, lol!!!!
