I just sprayed the front fenders and cowl. They came out amazing, but the top surface is not as good as it can be, so once cured, I will scuff and respray them.

I sprayed the back half of the car today. Some areas look amazing, and some areas not as good. I feel l can do a better job. I think I'm going to hang the doors on it, block sand it again and shoot it all at once.

My frustration is this. Sometimes I can get the paint to lay down like glass, other times, even in the same paint session, the paint doesn't lay as nice and has orange peel. I can't figure out why I don't have consistent results.

Are you sure the cut and buff won't take care of the little bit of orange peel. From the pics it looks great.

No, I'm not sure the cut and buff process will eliminate the orange peel. No experience to go by on that, so I'm going to do a little test area to see what that gets me. My gut tells me that I need to figure out why my results vary, then re-shoot the car. I will post my test results.

Small area on the roof. It's coming out nice. I think the whole cut and buff process is the ticket.
