I realize this is an ancient thread, but I stumbled across this and wanted to share some info. Bob Cram was likely the machinist for the motor builds of this car back in the day. Could have possibly been an owner. He’s an outstanding machinist and builder and I’ve used his services many times. He’s been there forever and is probably still there to this day. I left Ridgecrest in 2014 but have visited many times since and the shop is still open. He was a hardcore racer through the 80’s until he kicked a rod out of his S/G BBC Monza at Pomona and barrel rolled through the lights at 140+. Sadly his car was destroyed. He was beat up pretty good but he seemed to heal up ok. His Monza was pretty trick for the time, showed lots of attention to detail, and had won some best engineered awards at various events. He machined several of my builds and the results were always spot-on.
