Ran out of room and have no place to keep this project. This is a 1964 Plymouth Savoy 6cyl., 3 speed 2 dr sedan. Floors will need replaced as will the rear quarters and possibly more. The car is mostly complete, it does not have a steering column (3 speed, so no loss) the grill and headlight bezels are there. This car does not have a title, bill of sale only. I also have a hood and hemi hood scoop in excellent condition. I am selling this car for $3500 CASH and pretty firm on the price. Also, the brakes are locked up, so this could be a pain in the a$$ to get off and on the trailer. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks for looking. And, I welcome any and all comments.

PS, the wheels do not go with the car. Although they are quit lame, they are not mine and need to be returned to the owner, who too is quit lame!

I'll take a shot. Four years ago you were maybe on target. Now, it's tough to take on a project like this. Biggest reason for me: there's no title. That means its going to have to be a race car because it's nearly impossible to get a new title in Illinois without an old one. Plus the need of floors and quarters is a daunting task for someone that's never done it. Then, there's no wheels? So I've got to bring a set of wheels and tires just to get it home. Not a big deal if you've got an extra set, but it's working against the buyer. No steering column means I need another one pretty quick to move it around. Just looks like a ton of work and with the economic uncertainty that's going on, folks are very selective of huge projects at this time. If you want to help with its visual appeal, put the grill and headlight bezels back in it, at least for a picture. The way it's presented it looks like it was a parts car.
Don't mean to offend, just pointing out why you may not have any replys. There's a 64 Plymouth for sale that looks good, has license and title, runs and drives for $15k. I'd rather have it and avoid all the hassles.
Hope this helps you somehow.

If you were closer, I'd be interested, but we would have to discuss the price. Seems a little high to me.

I am interested in this car. How are the frame rails, firewall, upper cowl? any hidden rust issues? Price negotiable?

Well said b5rt, and no offense taken. All valid points. The hood and scoop sold. The car is negotiable, to put a price on it, I would say $2500. I will check the frame rails and upper cowl. The firewall looks good. There is no hidden rust issues that I know of. I will try and spend sometime looking over the car...

There is a 64 plymouth post car for sale near me. it is a roller with no engine or trans or interior but everything else is there. It has a clear title even. The guy is asking 800 bucks and I considered it but turned it down, and it has been for sale for three months on a busy street. If it was 2006 again I bet your car would be sold the day after you posted it, but times are hard for everyone right now. I play a little bit in the ford stuff. and I just sold a 68 mustang that ran and drove for 600 bucks cuz I needed the money, but still it took 5 people to come and look at the car before it sold. Keep the car until the economy picks up, if you really need the money I don't see that car selling for more than 1500 tops. It's a buyers market right now.

Well after much consideration and Momma caving in, the car is no longer for sale. I don't need the $, I didn't have the room, but that is no longer an issue. Yay for me! Anyway, thanks for the input guys!

PS, I bought back the hood and scoop too!
