I was doing some work under my dash and now I notice a loose red wire right in front of the ignition switch. My battery is disconnected so I haven't tried starting it yet. But how do I remove the switch?

If I remove the front bezel, will the whole switch slide out the back?

Do I need a special tool?

How are wires attached to the switch?

Thanks.

The chrome collar that's around the front of the switch is a nut. Simply turn it off the switch. Switch comes out toward the firewall. Just find something to turn the 'nut', via the slots in it.
Wiring is connected to the switch, via a wiring plug.

If anyone is reading this I need this collar/nut. Anyone got a nice one for sale?

If you don't find one in a couple weeks send me a pm. Im getting ready to buy a 1964 Plymouth 4dr. for a parts car for my sport fury so I may have one in a couple weeks if you don't find one before then. Bill

I just looked on eBay and I think what you are looking for is for sale right now.

Search for "Plymouth ignition switch 1964" The seller is goodstuffonly*123

Right now there are no bids and the starting price is $30.

Bidding ends about 5:00 pm PST on Sunday 7-20-2014 so hurry.
