1965 Bel I before and after...

I think you need to put the old front runners on and show some pics on here of that, with the black steelies on the back.

It's a steel crank 440 bored .030 over with some (unknown to me) race pistons from my buddy's motor. Comp springs,
Comp cam:
gross valve lift .018 intake, .020 exhaust
duration @ .050
intake 274
exhaust 282
11.5:1 compression, Holley 850 CFM, ported steel heads, reverse valve body manual shift 727 trans, line lock.... I'm sure i left stuff out, but oh well...

What are you using for a shifter?

I've been looking at all the different types/brands and haven't decided on one I really like yet. My 727 has a Cheetah manual valvebody too but it's fwd pattern.

I'm staying with the old school column shift!! HELL YEAH!! Now I need to find the reverse shift pattern detint...

One of the guys on Moparts was reproducing the reverse manual valvebody lens that came on the A990 cars....

I really liked the slapstick shifter in my '71 Cuda but one of those would look out of place (plastic t-handle) in an early B. Pushbutton would be the ultimate but too much of a hassle and too complex to fit to the later trans. at this point. Maybe a Pro-stick with a red ball handle to match the interior?!

You need one of the original B&M Quick Click shifters with the chrome cover.Sorta like this one only with the chrome cover.

I checked, there is no area51 on Moparts... Any ideas. And how much is "not cheap"?

Thanks for the help.

Awesome car, dude. I'm restoring a 65 satty myself. Question....can I tell what options the car originally came with by the VIN in the engine bay? It's slightly differnt in format than the one inside the drivers side door. If so, how? THanks for any help!

That's a question for the HARDCORE numbers matching :headbang: dudes, to be honest, I try and focus my knowledge around the stripped down factory race cars with very minimal options.

I normally do a Mopar Vin search using Yahoo or Google... Hope that helps some...

BTW, I bought the reverse shift pattern detint, very nice piece, but holy cow was it pricey!!! I'd do it again though :thebirdman:
