Hey fellas, long time browser, first time poster. This car, while I love it so much, has proven repeatedly to challenge me in every fashion.
1965 Dodge Coronet 440 with 318 engine and factory A/C. I enjoy reviving rather than restoring, so that’s what I’m doing here. The problem I’m facing is sourcing parts and schematics for the air conditioning system on this car. Before I tear anything down, I like to know what to expect, what to watch for, and how readily available parts are. I suspect the previous owner had an issue with the heater core leaking as when I bought it, lines were bypassed. I will be testing to find out for myself using water and filling it up. Just in case, what is a good source for parts for my a/c system? Where can I find a compressor? Mine is missing and will need replaced. Probably going to replace most components anyway but need to know what to do with it. Time is on my side as I’m currently working an improper top end rebuild in which coolant leaked in the intake to the oil, and an improper pushrod install broke one and bent several. Thanks for all the help!

I have factory air in my 64 fury . It is pressurized yet but compressor locked up. I would like to get it working next summer. Thinking new style compressor.
 
If and this is a big if, you may want to replace the whole system with more modern equipment.
The 65 heater vacuum controls can be rebuilt along with the heater control valve.Then replacing the heater core and evaporator cores.RV2 compressors can be found rebuilt.This may cost more than a modern set up.
Now this is just a thought because you mentioned "Reviving" I went with Vintage air/heat all in one for my 63 Belvedere.
My car is just a fun beater and needed air for the Nevada desert.Easy to install and has the 60's style and look.
Again this is just a thought. Don't mind the ugly radio delete. Gotta get a real one.
Really like your 65 Dodge. Always wanted one but for some reason Plymouths seem to always follow me home.

My vacuum controls all work. I also have heat. I will need to make a decision on the compressor. I have had other vacuum controls rebuilt and they work well.
 
Unless you have some R-12 squirreled away you will have to convert to 134-A. Best way is to remove the EPR valve from the compressor where the low side hose hooks. With the EPR gone will have to make it a cycling type system, thermostat control to kick on the compressor easy add-on. System should be flushed and oil compatible with 134-A installed. they want you to install the new barrier type hoses, but the originals will work you just may need to add a little refrigerant once a year, as 134-A will sometimes seep through the old rubber hoses.

Welcome to the site! Looks like a nice car to start with. I would start with pulling the heater box and do a complete overhaul. Detroit Muscle Technologies makes a kit for it. Take lots of pictures of the tear down since they will be helpful putting it back together. Not sure what all you are missing under the hood but if it is just the compressor, I have one for you. You may want to upgrade to a newer style though since the RV2 is heavy and cumbersome. There is tons of help on this site so don't be afraid to ask. Good luck with your project.
 
For the 65 and back, no packages are available. It's all DIY. Scout around to see if you can get a stocker to refurbish or do the DIY. I'm doing DIY on my 65 for several reasons. 1st, the fan and evaporator went bad. 2nd, since the plumbing is in the middle of the firewall just above the trans, it would not work as I'm using a 70 k-frame which moves the engine back 1.5".
