I have a 65 coronet with an auto in it, switching to manual, does some one make a conversion mount to put the 69 4-speed in it or do i have to buy a new cross member. thanks

try passon performance jamie passon or brewers performance but im not a big fan of brewers

When i did my 65 coronet change over, I had to change my cross member to a 4 speed cross member. Then i was able to use my 68 model 4 speed with an original style 4 speed trans mount .
You can take your auto cross member and convert/ modify it to a 4 speed cross memeber , that is what brewers does. The 3 speeds and auto cars use the same cross member and the 4 speed has it's own so it is hard to find.

Schumacher Creative Services- www.engine swaps.com has a conversion mount for a '66+ up trans. to '62 to '65 crossmember. Call them for the specifics on auto/4-spd.

Here is a link to the ttrans mounts: http://www.engine-swaps.com/Pages/ProductsType/TrannyMounts.html#head5

Here is the desription from there web site:
Early B-Body Polyurethane Conversion Tranny Mount
Converting an early B-Body to a '66 or newer tranny just got a lot easier — thanks to our new conversion tranny mount that eliminates the need for cross-member fabrication. Made with high-quality polyurethane, our new tranny mount offers durability that far surpasses the Chrysler original.
TMEBC - $81 + $13 S&H

I am not for sure if it is for 66 -up auto or what as the site does not say. I guess I would just call to see what they offer.

Hope that helps, matt

I just went through this same thing on my 65 Belv., I think you'll still have to have a 62-65 4-spd crossmember or modify your auto like Brewers does. Schumachers conversion mount, mounts a later trans. to a 62-65 4-spd crossmember. I was lucky to find a 65 crossmember on ebay. I've bought some parts from Brewers and they were very nice to me. Good Luck, John

I am doing the same thing right now. Was told if you are already running a later 727, the crossmember and mount will work with a '70+ 4spd .... we did measure both 727 and 4spd from front of bellhousing to mount holes and they were exact .... if you get a late'60s 4spd a slight mod will be required ..i think just a small slotted adapter plate for the mount ...

I modified my 65 crossmember and cut off the pocket and went with a 69-70`s a body transmission mount. Works great. No coin out of these pockets except for a new 65 trans mount before I went with a 4 speed.
