1966 B body steering column question

Which brings up a question. Is this lower support in a 1966 COLUMN shift car ??????

That big white ring looks like what is at the bottom of my '66 automatic column shift. Then, over the top of that is the piece gtx6970 has a photo of in this thread. The ridge around that white piece goes into a molded edge that fits over the seal in gtx6970's
The only thing there is a rubber / plastic dust seal
Which gives me an idea. I wonder if the rings you show are the remains of said lower seal

No, I ordered a new one of these seals and it fit over the bottom support just fine. I am just not remembering where those little plastic rings came from. They are sized to slide over the steering column shaft somewhere. Sized just like the little bearing at the top by the "bucket"...but there doesn't seem to be room up there. By the time I get the snap rings, bearing and insulator, blinker assembly, and the two metal plates that go on each side of the plastic blinker assembly, there doesn't seem to be room up top. If I try to put them up on the steering column between the steering wheel and the blinker assembly, they would get crushed.

Ok, hit wrong key...the black seal with the white center fits over the bottom of the steering column. The big white piece is in fact the support at the bottom of the column for the steering column shaft to be centered in the column housing. It should have two screw holes in it. There is a ridge around the lip of it so that once it is in the housing with the shaft going through it, the black seal with the white center slides up the shaft and fits over it like a tupperware lid.
Gotta put those pieces on the shaft before you slide the shaft up the column or you have to knock the pin out of the bottom where the coupler body is. Pain.

Yes, that is exactly what that is. Is there a part number on that old box or would you sell that? That is what I need for the bottom of mine. The black rubber seal from a previous post slides up over that.

The pictures are great. Mine is a little different. Thanks very much for the offer, though. Here are some pictures for comparison..
The first picture is the side that slides up into the steering column tube. It is from an automatic on the column shifted car.
The second shot is from the front. If you look you can see the remnants of a lip that would protrude all the way around the leading edge in this shot. All of that is cracked and chipped away.
Third shot is how it fits in column. Steering shaft goes through it and to the steering box.
Fourth shot is the rubber boot that would fit over the missing lip. I tried to use silicone and glue it on the bushing/support, but no workie.

You said column shift...is that a manual column shift? Not auto on column?

Trying to chase old parts is like a never ending easter egg hunt.
