Hi

I just purchased a 66 Charger and am getting it ready for paint, but I wish to delete the fender to quarter trim. My question is: What is the best way to remove the lip on top of the rear quarters? Has anyone done this and do you have pix? Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks much

Cut the lip off with a reciprocating saw (1st choice) or a cut-off wheel (2nd choice due to heat/debris). Weld up the gap, re-shape the welds with the metal working tool of your choice or maybe even use lead. Every one I have seen with plastic filler seems to have hairline cracks, including our race car.

Thank you Jeremiah

Thank you I will do just that!!
