I recently purchased new visor tip rods and the rubber ends for those from a vender. They are advertised as fitting 66 to 76 B and A bodies. But after receiving them I see that my 66 Charger visor has larger rods than the ones I received. Checking with a friend who has a lot of knowledge about the 66/67 Chargers and he owns a 66, I was advised the 66 has a different mirror and the larger tips. He explained the mirror only moves front to back for adjustment unlike the 67 and later mirrors that move side to side as well. Also there are spring clips inside the mirror slots for the visor tips that provide the tension to hold and silence them.
More than one advertiser has the mirror tips advertised and I want to correct their listing unless there are "some" 66 Chargers that have the later style visors. Mine is an early build for 66. Anyone having additional info or that can confirm they are different please advise. I trust my source but with production lines you just never know what they might have done, especially since this was a new model in 1966.
