I was wondering if a 4 speed setup out of a 69 roadrunner can be put into an automatic 66 coronet without too many modifications to both the car and the setup. The 4 speed parts are numbers matching for my runner so I don't really want to modify them and I'd like to put them back in the roadrunner when it is time to restore it. So what I really want to know is will most of the stuff bolt up? What would I need to put it all in the 66? Keep in mind this is all complete and coming out of a whole car minus the inspection cover. Any help is appreciated. Thanks FBBO!

Are you talking about the clutch assembly and shifter from your RR. Maybe you can find a clutch assembly from something that had a slant 6 in it and buy the shifter and linkage, that way you keep your RR the way it was meant to be without doing xtra work to take it out, put it in the other car, then when you decide take it out of the other car and put it back in your RR.

I was thinking that but up here in New England I don't really know where to find a clutch pedal assembly for a 66. There's a yard in new hampshire that has anything you can want for 68-70's but not much for anything predating that

I'm not 100% sure but I think the pedal legs are different length and the pads are different size. Like I said i'm not 100% drove mostly auto's most of my life.

As long as it will work I don't mind about the car being 100% correct. It was a /6 car as long as I don't have to butcher the 4 speed parts I'm happy

Ok thanks guys. When the weather starts getting warmer I want to fix the body on the coronet then put the 4 speed and the rear from the runner in it, maybe even the motor. Also toying with eliminating some trim on the car but I haven't decided. If I have any questions I'll be sure to keep you guys posted!
