I have always found a good oem radiator, but I am ready to leap forward into this century with aluminum one. it will be just a pretty much stock 400 cruiser, 22 inch rad. deal.

who's should I consider ????.... Champion, etc. would like to b e able to add shroud to it. it will be conventional downflow. thanks

I have had a champion on my R/T for several years now with no issues. Car also runs 10 to 15 degrees cooler even in traffic. Also has a Lifetime warranty and had good revues when I bought mine. No mods and shroud fit too.

How many rows are y'all using? I have stock replacement aluminum single row with 1 1/4" tubes and that thing cools better than the original one did when the truck was new! Sitting in traffic on a 100 degree day with the AC on doesn't faze it one bit. With the original 2 row copper, it would hit 210 in minutes.

Cranky mine is a 26" 3 core. I have a heck of a time getting the temp up to 180 but we don't have 100 deg weather where I'm at. Heck I haven't even gotten my shroud to seal up nice and tight to the radiator yet so I know I'm loosing some efficiency.

You don't have a 180 thermostat ? If your running cold, your putting extra ware on your engine, as its not getting up to operation temperature.

wear and tare for sure, most engine oil's don't flow well at low temps my engine builder won't start a dyno pull until oil temp is at least 170 degrees
