Alright, I'm having a bit of a hard time finding out info on this. I'm currently stationed at Lackland AFB and I couldn't stand being away from these old cars any longer so I bought a 67 Belvedere as a daily driver... Car drives great, can't complain about that one bit! Body isn't in the best of shape, but nothing that I haven't done before! Now this issue I'm having is that my gas gauge isn't working, nor is the whole left side of the instrument panel... It does have a good ground strap and have already made an attempt to clean that off without any change. Right now when I turn the key the gauge moves just a bit if any. Temp gauge doesn't work and when the lights are on none of the left side of the panel lights up... Any ideas? Previous owner told me that the gas gauge only worked when it really wanted too...

Thanks, Craig

either the circuit board is bad or the voltage limiter is bad.i have seen both cause that problem.

The gauge cluster grounds to the dash through the screws that hold it in. Strange things happen when it's not grounded good. It may not be the problem but it's worth making sure they are all clean and tight....and how do you like Lackland? I was there in 71 and commuted back and forth from Houston in my 66 Belvedere 4dr with a mild 383. That was when I-10 was new between the two cities. Back then, traffic wasn't bad especially at 2am and could really make good time with a set of 2.94 gears! :D

Can't complain, I do like it. I'll only be there for a bit though. Finished Basic Training in December and currently going to Tech School. I'll be there until April then I'm going to South Korea. Also I'll be driving this thing up North back to Chicago... Any tips on what I should double check as far as taking this thing for a road trip?
