1967 Belvedere Rear Bumper Mounting Nuts & Bolts

Hey guys, I need to know what size and type of bolts do I need mount the rear bumper brackets to the body... so Brackets to body, not brackets to bumper... again, any help would be tits. thanks in advance.

Cj, The ones that came in my "Car in the box Kit" are 1/2" x 2" course thread. And no I haven't put mine on yet either. :grin:

Pepboys has 1/2x2.5" will they be too long or should i be fine with the 2.5" long bolt?
also... there are 4 I need right???

Ok, the bolts dont fit into the bracket... because the brackets are too far gone... to much rust to catch any threads, the threads inside look jacked too.

anyone know where i can get a good used set or new if i have to?

E Bay has 'em all day long and many sources. Yearone is generally WAY overpriced. 'course that's just my opinion..........but I'm sitckin' to it.......

Are these a 7/16 bolt? (The four bolts that connect the rear of the car to the bracket, not the chrome bumper to bracket.) I am drilling out a broken bolt and mounting a bumper on a 67 Belvedere. The 1/2" are too big and local hardware stores don't have 7/16-14 bolts. So I wanted to check here before I ordered some off the web.

If you have an Ace Hardware, check them out, they have a great selection here, better than LOWES and they have stainless as well.- etc
