1967 Birthday Stripes Back On!

Two stripes were available with the Birthday Special package. The (3 pc) full length mid stripe seen here on Mark's beautiful Copper Charger posted above, or a single stripe located just above the rocker trim. A Vinyl Top and Special Wheel Covers were also available as part of this extremely rare package.

I had seen that b&w press release photo before, showing the stipes, vinyl top and special wheel covers. I had thought it was a prototype photo. I knew the vinyl top was available on the 67 Charger. I didn't know those stripes were ever offered. I had always thought the wheel covers were interesting as I viewed them to be optional wheel covers for 74-75 Plymouth B-bodies. Now I see that Plymouth reused the rare and long since discontinued wheel cover design from the Birthday Charger. If Plymouth hadn't reintroduced the wheel cover in the 70's, those wheel covers would be impossible for Birthday Charger owners to find.
