Not mine, but saw this perusing the local Craigs:

Was told by buddy of these unique cars, didn't believe him until I googled it. This one also has 3 on the tree manual trans.

The front half is cool.

IIRC all Mexican Coronets of that body style had slant six engines and hidden headlights.

Bizarre.

Also note-

Right hand mirror

Square 69 style side markers

Charger style fender/door/quarter top molding

Mexican/South American style rallye wheels

I wonder how many were optional or standard, how many were safety mandated, and how many may have been added afterwards.

I have always thought fondly of the forign names that chrysler had in latain America an Australia, including the Australian valiant charger, Brazilian gtx, and the Mexican super bee:icon_smile:

There is a very weird combination of stuff on these Coronets.

Besides the Charger grill and front bumper, the side lights are nothing like the 69 style (not trying to pick on you YY1), more like something found in an after market parts store.

Note the side and top trim. The side trim also looks like it was cut to fit in a back yard using something like carpet end strips. The top trim is something like a Charger, but totally different due to the different quarter panels. I think the profile was similar to a 66 Satellite.

The two doors came looking more like a 500 with the RT/500 trunk filler and brake lights. But there was a generic Coronet badge in the place were the RT/500 would have gone. The Coronet script looks hand made. They also used the seats like a 500 4dr Se (cloth and rather plush), but they hinged forward for rear seat access.

I'll see if I can dig up some more pics.

I never heard of such a thing but I do like the hideaway lights on the Coronet.

Also the Mexico version probably comes fully equipped

I don't recall seeing side marking lights on anything in 67. Never went to Mexico but don't recall seeing the 67 models in Europe with them....
