1967 Dodge Coronet R/T factory rear ride height

Hello Coronet owners,

Just about complete restoring a 67 R/T, and looking to update suspension.

I plan on 1.03 torsion bars in the front and replace the tired leaf springs with XHD/hemi w/ Bilstein shocks all around.
The rear springs are pretty worn, and I'm not sure what the factory ride height looks like with new springs.
I would like the rear just high enough to expose the 15" Magnum wheels, but not excessively high (I used a jack in the rear to bring the height where I would like it).
I'm either going to use ESPO or Eaton.

Anyone have insite and suggestions on stock spring height vs plus 1 to get the height I desire?

I have air shocks on my 67 GTX to raise the rear about an inch +/- with about 15-20 psi. Many members will say the crossmember can’t stand the forces of air shocks on it and that’s probably true if someone runs 75 - 90 psi in them. But for lower pressures I’ve never had a problem.
 
Take a peek at some factory advertising photos. These cars like to sit on their a$$ which is not a look I ever liked. I restored two 67 R/T's and used Springs and things 2" above factory ride height and was always pleased with the stance. Basically like the first picture you posted.

Mike_Mopar; Hard to see the rear in the angled photo. Any side shots? I did look at some advertisements, and the rear is too low for my liking. Think I'm at plus 1 so far. Didn't consider Springs & Things over ESPO or Eaton. Do they hold up over time?

With the 1.03 TB, I may drop the front a tad to fill the wheel well with 225, 65 R15"@26.25" knowing there will be a bit more neg camber.

Springs and Things were good springs, good service as well. Car is gone, but had it a few years and always looked sat great IMO. I have this photo, maybe it will help. I went 225/70/15 in the front on a 15 X 7 and 255/60-15 on a 15 X 8. 4.5 BS. Perfect fit.

I ran air shocks in the day for tire clearance. Usually about 40-50 psi. This was from 67-71. I also ran 90-100 psi at the strip for bigger slicks. Never a rear cross member problem. Stock ride height originally covered approximately 3/4" of the top of the rims. Personally the look I like is with the total rear rims just showing. That's with the front raised the same amount and 1-2 sizes bigger tire on the back.

I’ve done the same thing with my 66 coronet 500 convertible……also without any problems
 
Yes...I want it just above the rear rim for full exposure. So would this be ESPO's plus 1 or plus 2?

I'm currently running BF Goodrich 215 65 R15 front, 235 60 R15 rears which are 26.1" height...similar to the F48-14's which were typically 26.3".
 
Thanks Dadsbe...that's the stance I'm looking for! The Belvedere qrts I assume are the same as Coronet (not Charger).
What springs and tire size are you running?
 
I just put 1.03 t-bars and ESPO +1 GTX-spec leafs on my 67 Satellite. Definitely raised the ride height and gave the car a slight rake. The top of the 14" rim sits about level with the wheel lip now. It was about 2" lower with the old springs (Mopar Perf HD that sagged after ~10 yrs)

I like it where the edge of the wheel opening lid is dead even with the edge of the rim.

Mine has the stock OEM HD springs in it with stock hangers / brackets
And it sat with the body lip edge just slightly above the wheel rim edge.
