Can anyone tell me the factory finish on the brake booster? It looks like mine was silver zinc but who knows if it was done before.
Thanks,
Eric

ThanksI’ve never seen anything other than black.
why is it considered a hemi booster? My 67 Satellite has factory disk brakes and the "hemi" booster. I am fairly sure that the booster was still original when I bought the car in 1987. The paint that was still on it was black. Drum brakes used a different booster so not sure if they were the same color.

Not sure now that you ask. I've heard people refer to it as such and always thought it referred to the offset bracket that was needed to clear the hemi. I'll have to check my parts book to see if there is really anything unique.why is it considered a hemi booster?
I have the offset bracket on my car but most boosters still don’t fit with a Hemi. Not sure now that you ask. Hemi boosters have a different bolt pattern on the back.
You have the bracket pictured on engine side of firewall? The bracket is to raise booster so it clears Hemi's valve cover.Parts book only has 1 listing for b-body disc brake booster, p/n 2881 548 (Bendix dual diaphragm). Indicates its for 8 cyl, but no other distinction. However, the catalog has this graphic for hemi b-body which looks just like the setup on my 383 car.
