My quarter was a mess,looked like it was backed into at one time but I bit the bullet and started cutting and seems to be working.Pics are what it looked like but it didn,t seen right,so I tore off the patches and made some new ones and weld in a donor taillight section that I found here.Was scary.Nice thing the frame and floor is almost perfect

Takes lots of guts to cut one up like that and not have a replacement panel. Especially on these cars - the quarter is 10 feet long or seems like it. - Nice work. I am gonna work on my front fender this weekend and graft in a scrap 1966 lower fender section in I found - Will post it up when I get going on it

After I get sheet metal done and do not turn it into a POS then the suspension is next. Trying to gigure the best route to go for that too.

Windshield channel is rotted out. I saw some rust under the windshield trim so I popped it off. Then cut some of the 49 year old window seal and low and behold the channel is rotted out on the right side. Ann suggestions? Once the window is all the way out then I can really access the problem. Might be able to patch it up but maybe not. Maybe a new cowl would be the answer. I hope not as that would be tons of work. Also got the right quarter put in along with fabbing new inner panels. Need to finish up welding then hours and hours of grinding smooth. For the front right fender I am going to graff in a piece from a 66 wrecked fender .. I will post it up as I work on that

Update - removed windshield to get to the rust. Actually a little better than I thought - I can repair this. Removing the dash not too fun but not to hard after windshield was out , I also plan to rewire the care - - looks like a big deal to do and will take loads of time to figure it all out

AC crossroads - Stock air box will be about 1,000 to 1,200 to repair assuming I can find the parts with no guarantee it will work. So should I get Antique Auto Air, Vintage Air or get this stock one figured out. If I go away from stock then I have allot of patched to weld into the firewall to cover up all the holes not needed in the after market kits, so what to do? Also same for the wiring system as do I weld up the junction box going thru the firewall or find a kit that has one if I can. Once I repair the windshield channel then the dash will go in then the glass. Any suggestions ?

coming along nice,I wish I could find a wheel lip for the quarter.I,ve been trying to re-shape an aftermarket one but not having much luck.I,ve been looking at other vehicles wheel lips to see if they would be a close match just to use sections of the lip to put on.A 70,s ford truck and a 56 chev car looked promising but I didn,t have my camera.I have my quarter all Frankensteined up and same as you ,lots of grinding.I didn,t have the skills to make 1 piece patch but better than it was.

try stevens in alabama- get lip off a 4 door - I have heard others do that. I got a front rt fender from them not long ago. Sort of expensive but not rusted out either. Where else are you gonna get one? Also try desert auto parts - I have had some luck with them .

Started to cut out bad metal from the rest of the quarter. Once I get the worst out I will fit a new piece in and cut this up a bit to get a good fit. So Far I only have a AMD patch panel but that does not cover the wheel well. Also will have to fab some of the inner fender. Also in pic I removed the right front fender . The lower corner is rotted out as shown in a previous pic. I did find a 1966 fender to cut the bottom rear off and weld it to my 19767 fender - thats this week ends job

Project slowed down a bit due to a knee surgery so mainly doing research for another month then I will get back on finishing up the sheet metal work.
going to rebuild and upgrade all the suspension and put disc brakes on front - any suggestions.

does anyone have a pic of the windshield removed in a 1966 or 1967 B Body? I am looking for the right side of the windshield channel. Mine has rust issues that will need to be cut out and replaced. I want to know what it is supposed to look like. Any help is appreciated.

sorry there is a down shot - just took awhile to see oriention. Mine has slots in the channel - looks like glass sits on them or a water drain. There are 3 or four accross the bottom of the window channel - might show in pics I posted

I see, hang on, i'll walk out to the garage and snap a few....Back. Ok, so there is a small tab folded out from the channel on each side of the windshield and one in the middle as well. The rest are the clip mounts for the chrome trim. I tried to capture the bends and shape of the frame/channel for you.
