1968 charger 440 oil filter question

Man am I embarrassed to ask this question, especially after doing a full suspension upgrade on my own, but here it goes. I have to replace my fuel pump as no gas is getting to the carb. Also have gas in the oil so pretty much know it's the fuel pump. Drained the oil pan and unscrewed the oil filter and....here it goes...how do you get the filter out? Between the oil cooler line, strut and sway bar, there is no room to pull it out. do I have to remove the oil cooler line? seems crazy. Anyway, be kind to the newbie on the responses. Thanks!

Pull it out from above, probably a little harder if u have p/steering which I'm guessing u do. With manual steer u can see the friggin thing.

While underneath using jack stands, there should be 3 different ways to get your arm up there.
I get mine from the bottom on the 69 Coronet IF the same. Try all three. Only one allows the filter out. Use a Wix or Napa Gold 51515. Make sure the old gasket comes off. I put a little oil in the new one before replacing. It's gonna run across the cradle. Normal.

Lol.... nevermind, just went out through the side of the K frame... it's been a long day..

Mine drops out the bottom. Aux trans cooler lines prevent it from exiting the top.

Mine drops out the bottom. Made myself a catch can out of a gallon jug. Take a razor and cut one in half.

If that jug fits in there getting the filter out should not be a problem.
