Well I just came back from DC.com -- just wanted to post pics of my baby... been working on this swap for years - If anyone has and questions feel free to ask... Been there and done it all it seems...

Rebuilt the Hemi
Built/modified my own harness
Did all the work on this car myself...

Wow. Looks great! Nice job.:pimp_daddy:

I have a 5.7 motor complete harness and computer out of 08 truck, is there a reason why all I have read and all the people I have talked to tell me to toss the harness and computer and buy after market parts that are made from or close to 04-05 stuff? I am running a manual trans. So all I need is the gas pedal (that I have out of the truck the motor came out of) to work the throttle and run the motor as stand alone seems like the 08 computer should be able to be reprogrammed to do that.

What trans are you using? I am using a 545RFE, what shifter are you using?

my all time favorite mopar ..had one from 70' till 79'...just great to see ..beauty in the body lines and the beast under the hood ... hey ..thats pretty good should do a Hallmark card ..nice work thunder

Very nicely done.

nice job but a shame to see, nothing beats the sound of a gen 2 hemi or RB man. but the reliability is next to nothing :)

Used factory K member with TTI motor mount plates.

The Second gen does deserve a Gen II or a RB - I had a 318, 360, 383, 440, and 512" in this thing... I think the Gen III will be the best route to go for all around performance

clean and mean. i think its beautiful the time effort and drive to do it is just amazing!

this kinda makes me wanna do this, i just found what is said to be a 2004 5.7l hemi for $500

NICE!!! I know the feeling. I just fired my 5.7 swap today, only difference is w5a580 trans and harness & computers from donor are in my car.
Have you driven it much yet??

post #1 says "Built/modified my own harness"

Yep - modified a 2005 Ram harness, removed the Automatic transmission stuff, downstream O2s, and EGR and made the harness stand alone with a fan, fuel, injector, and ignition relay... So... only makes a couple hook-ups needed.... Ign, 12V, Ground, A/C trigger, Fan trigger
