Hey guys , I just installed the 440/4speed in my 68 Charger and didn't know I had the wrong transmission crossmember until I went to put it in . The crossmember bolts in the car with no problem but the transmission mount location is wrong , the crossmember has the mount on the side and the transmission is in the center of the crossmember . :confused4::confused4: H E L P !

The crossmember should be a center mount if it is a 68 A833. It should be like the pic below. If you were closer to Florida, I have one sitting at my dads that I would be willing to get rid of pretty cheap. That is not a pic of mine by the way.

what do you mean it has mount on the side of the cross member?

I would really like to see a pic

The crossmembers are different for auto and 4 speed, I learned the same way by converting(also 68 charger). You can cut yours out to make it work, just look at a couple pics and you'll see what you need to do. About 10 minutes with a plasma cutter, welder, and small grinder and your done. Good luck.

what would you have to have plus shipping?

I would have to talk to my dad and see if he could box it up and ship it out for me. And I would prefer to not ship something like that out unless I have eyes on it first to verify condition, because I can't remember. It has been about a year since I have had eyes on it. It does look like Passon has them for a really good price though. Might be a better option, so you don't have to clean it up and paint it.
