I will try to keep it short.
When the headlights are on should the turn signal lights on the front bumper be on too. Our car has working lights but the only run when the switch is clicked to parking lights, when on headlights they go off.
Is there a company that makes aftermarket side marker lights.
Our wiper pivots are seized. Do any 78-70 b body pivots work.
Still trying to find 11X2.5 non finned rear drums. Any aftermarket source. Thanks.
Chas.

Parking lights should be on in both positions. I would look at the switch as the problem. It probably is losing connection in the headlight position.

the parking lights are OFF when the headlights are on on 1968 cars. Starting in 1969 the parking lights stay on.

that I can't say...I had several '68 Chargers, buddy has a '68 Coronet, none had the parking lights stay on with the headlights. Another buddy has a '69 Charger, and my '69 runners all have had the lights stay on.

Hmmm, I'll have to check my 68 coronet when I get home tonight. I was pretty sure my parking lights were on with the headlights .... I could be wrong though

I'm curious to learn the answer on '68 running lights.....they stay on in '70 at least & can't remember my '69.

1. Yes, I've seen the '68 (round) side marker lights reproduced...can't remember where, but a web search should find them for you. Classic Industries is just one possible source. https://www.classicindustries.com/shop/1968/dodge/all-models/parts/lighting/side-markers/

2. See if you can find out "exactly" what is seized on your wiper pivots. A GOOD soaking with PB Blaster and/or a little torch heat while gently working them back & forth (with gloves for heat) should free them up.

3. Yeah, I've seen on here recently someone looking for "non-finned" drums & from what I read those are a little tough to find. If all else fails, "maybe" you could find a used/bad set with some deep scratches in them, weld them up & re-surface them????

Check with Tony D...he has all kinds of parts

That is the way my 68 Road Runner works. If you want parking lights lit when headlamps are on, you can take a 1N4007 diode and bias the park lamps from the head lamps. Simple, but probably too much trouble.

Thank you. Chasing electrical in prep for the car being on the road after 25 years. Trying to make everything right.

Thanks. I think the answer is no as other members have said no, in 69 they started.

Thanks, I will check them out.i was doing a search here for these drums a few weeks ago. I will try to work on the pivots. I took the linkage off and they did not move. I think the answer on the running lights is when the headlights are on they go off.

Yeah, I will leave them. Less is more
