1968 Dodge Charger (R/T clone). $19,500. As Is. South Williamsport, PA
This is the first car I ever owned. I bought it in 1995 in Union, Mississippi while in the Air Force. The car is an original big block (383) car. This is not in show room condition, it just photographs well. It needs a little TLC from someone with a little time.
Engine: 440 bored .30 over (not #’s matching), Aluminum Stealth heads CNC ported and polished, Speed Pro pistons, Comp Cam Xtreme Energy Camshaft .545 lift, hydraulic lifters, Crane gold roller rocker arms, MSD 6al-2 ignition with MSD distributor and 8.5mm wires, Hedman headers, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake with Edelbrock 800 carburetor, Edelbrock mechanical fuel pump, About 100 miles on the engine.
Transmission: 727 Torqueflite (#’s matching) with reverse manual valve body, 3500 Hughes stall converter, ratchet shifter.
Driver train: Brand new custom heavy duty drive shaft with safety loop, 8.75 rear 489 case, Richmond 4:10 gears, Strange Spool, Moser axles,
Wheels: Mickey Thompson ET Drag radials 275/60 R 15 mounted on rims matching the front tires, Extra BF Goodrich tires, same size as drag radials, mounted on the same style rims for street use, BF Goodrich on the front
Other: Caltrac traction bars, Line lock, tach with shift light, new gas tank and sending unit, Aluminum radiator with catch can, paint is about 7 years old with a couple small chips in the left front fender, new battery. The fender tag is present. I have the broadcast sheet but it is in rough shape.
What it needs: Interior could use some attention but not bad. Fuel line should be upgraded from the sending unit (I have an extra 3/8 sending unit) to the fuel pump if you plan on racing, Power steering gear box leaks, but the pump and hoses are new, hood needs adjusted. Needs a part installed for the MSD Ignition to be compatible with the Tach (I have the part it just needs installed.) Brakes need attention. Does not have a radio. An electrical gremlin with the MSD system I installed (car starts but won’t turn off). Valve cover is leaking on the passenger side toward the rear.
Extras: These are not included in the price but come free with the car if you want them. 383 engine with Edelbrock performer intake on engine stand, Taylor 10.4mm spark plug wires, Hydraulic engine hoist, Extra Hedman headers, new Exhaust cutouts, original axles, Extra unused Napa Cam Shaft (.480 lift?), plus everything else I have that is related to the car.
The car is not currently inspected but everything works to pass inspection from reverse lights to windshield wiper fluid.
I also have a 2012 open bay car trailer for $2800.
*note that some of these photos are a couple years old.
