I have a 68 Dodge Coronet WL21 post coupe with a shot frame. The interior is black and totally redone with front bench seat and rear seat covers that match the door panels. Dash pads are perfect. This is a unique 225 straight 6 with a three on the tree, manual brakes, and manual steering. Nothing power about this car, maybe the wipers. The rear is a 3.23 open - non 8 3/4. All glass is excellent, and all chrome trim looks great. Both bumpers are straight with slight chrome fading, but may polish up nice. Hood, drivers door, and both front fenders are good. Cowl is in very good condition. Grille and tail panel are excellent. This is a good candidate for a donor car. Decent 15" Cragers. Teh clutch pedal is tucked against the firewall for this photo. Must pick up in Metro Detroit (MI) area. $2,200 firm with title and fender tag. If the car does not sell, I will be parting this car in the spring.

Thank you B-Bodies for the free listing!

What would you want for the door panels(all four) and/or the rear seat?

Please feel free to make an offer. If the offers are reasonable, I will discontinue the listing for this car and start pulling parts. I would prefer to sell the car as is. Thanks!

Why does the car sit so low on the driver side front? Are the front torsion bars rusting in half?

The front sags on the driver side because the frame is rusted through at the torsion bar cross frame. That is why I am listing this as a parts car, not as a project or restorable car. Thanks!

Beautiful car with nice lines....Too bad it's just a low optioned Coronet. You can bet if it was a 68 Roadrunner, Super Bee or Charger it would be snapped up and making it's way to a resto.

Kind of sad.......... Good luck with your sale Det. Inc.

How bad is the trunk and floor pan

I would take it if you weren't 10.5 hours away with Chicago between us.

i hate to price your stuff, i am interested in the fenders

:thatswck:
What's wrong with a Coronet (base) coupe?
Mine weighed 3,350 lbs. with an all iron 440, all iron 4-speed, and an 8-3/4" w/sure grip differential & 3.55:1 gears.
This was before I started to add lighter weight parts.

Obviously you took my statement the wrong way daniel......

There is absolutly nothing wrong with a 68' Coronet and I sure as heck wouldn't be the first one to cast stones about them considering I own a 68' Coronet and have for 16 years now...

The point I was trying to make is that if the car was more of a premier optioned/popular car like a 68' Roadrunner/Charger/Superbee-or R/T net, people would be more apt to restore that type of car, in the condition this one is in vs. selling it for a parts car.

A few reasons why......resale after resto, performance, rarity in some cases.

Like I said earlier, it's sad to see a car with that great of looks get parted because of being a car rolled out with low options..

As far as your weight statistics...Kind of lost on that one..I didn't bring up any quarrels or questions on a 68's weight.

Don't count on that. I had that 68 RR that needed rear frame repairs behind the hoops for sale last year. Just about a complete car. It was less the engine, tranny and ft seat but did have a 742 sure grip 3:23, title and fender tag and the matching #'s engine could have been had from the guy I got the car from. Couldn't get $1000 for that car and ended parting it.

You're right rrunner..........

I should have replaced "you can bet" with "odds are".

Honestly here in the salt belt, a 68 Roadrunner with a matching engine (possibly), and the other options for a $1000 is almost unheard of -very few and far between. You would have had no problems selling that around my neck of the woods..Hell, I would have bought it for my next resto project.

I would have bought that `68 Runner as well if it wouldn't have been so far away. Location, location, location!

how does the chrome on the vent window frames look?
