1968 gtx motor

have few questions 68 gtx 440 motor i tracked the original owner he says motor is numbers match the numbers next to thermostot housing are d 440 the numbers on passenger side of block 2356430 6 date 4-6 -67 little arrow points to n . the numbers under were starter block do not match vin. my 4 speed trans does match and does have dana 60 rear end i dont no how to decode the dana . any body little help thanks

The VIN on the 68 blocks is on the top of the bell housing flange next to the oil pressure sender. Should start with 8 then a letter then six numbers.

thanks for all the help found out from origanial owner motor was replaced at the dealership numbers in 68 numbers at stater pd are 440 p 23423 thanks again
