Car needs a new home and me a fresh project so here we go again.

1968 GTX with lots of new, some used and some refurbished parts.Everything works, runs and drives very good. The car turned out very good and it is cool, however I am finding it a touch boring with the auto trans.Thats part of the reason to sell. For more info and pics shoot me a pm and include a email.Pretty firm @$22,500 and I am in central WI about 40 miles west of Green Bay

May consider partial trades with cash my way on maybe a 4 spd project type car or will look at any 1930s Hot Rod coupe as a even trade with similar value. 012%20(640x480)%20(2).jpgMVC-002S.JPGMVC-010S.JPG

The 383 engine seems to be the biggest turn off. Some of those guys would
rather have a smogger 440 than a nice peppy 383.Could of went either way but it was sorta a no brainer for me 175HP smogger 440 or a 330HP 383.Tons of trade offers, some good and many not so much.A few I may pursue soon if i don't get a cash sale in the near future.

She is a beaut Jay...hope you get your 4-spd!! GLWS

I am fairly new. Please help me understand what you said about a 440 being 175HP vs a 383 having 330HP. By Smogger do you mean gas guzzler?

If the original 440 is missing what some of those guys will do is pretty up a 73 and newer 440 also known as a smogger which are low compression and HP slugs and install it.I could have done that which in turn would have got me a quicker sale and gave the potential buyer his woody but i am not a numbers or correct engine kind of guy and could care what engine it has.The 383 looks similar to a 440,runs like a champ so it was used.

Sometimes i just don't get it,its ok to put a 440 in a 383 car but not ok to go the other way?

Keep the 383...I would not flinch at the 383....when someone has the $ put a HEMI or 440!....it's a no brainer....BTW what is the 383 out of???
I lke it a lot I "watched" the build , great clean & classy job.
I almost want it!

Sonny.

Car is sold guys, heading to Iowa as I type this.On to the next adventure, but I haven't decided what that is just yet.

i knew she would sell fast. all your hard, quality work payed off!! Congrats Jay!!!

perhaps a 64 Belvy with a 440 and a 4-speed might be in your future?? idk, just spitballin' here...

Congrats Jay. That didn't take long. What exactly is in your future for the next project?

You sold it? I knew it was only a matter of time. The car looks great and the new owner is one lucky man!
